Anthony Sundell's MK3 VR

Anthony Sundell is no stranger when it comes to sporting beautiful cars. Among the previous ones, this is his first Volkswagen. And it's not too shabby at that. Anthony has been pretty low key and modest about his blacked out MK3, but the statement the car makes it otherwise. At first glance inside you may not even notice the MK4 dash/interior swap since it's so cleanly done. Hopefully he holds onto this one and has some good things in store for 2011.

My First H2Oi

So this year I got the chance to hit up H2O in Ocean City, Maryland. It was my first major Volkswagen show, and first one on the east coast. And even though I was blown away by all the awesomeness, I still managed to film a bit. Although I didn't bring all my gear, and the stuff I did bring I forgot back in the hotel room. So the edit was show all hand held. Although being there, my mindset wasn't too much on filming. I just wanted to experience the event and take it all in.
The strip and weekend was what made the long haul worthwhile. Although the show was a nice turnout, it doesn't compare to the ruckus of the strip. The best part about H2O is everyone is staying pretty much in a 100 block radius. Unlike most shows people are branched off at hotels miles apart from one another.
Anyway, here is a little bit of what I did film. I winged it, threw in some females to hold your attention. Enjoy.

Popular Demand Video for 2011?

movie reel Pictures, Images and Photos

The more I log on to my computer everyday and browse through two minute web edits, it makes me realize something. I kinda want to take things a different route. I always hate sitting on footage, but this time I'm thinking the end result could be worthwhile. I have an insight for where this video will go and how it will be based. I imagine around a 20-30 minute run time. I would rather not go into detail on my plans or goals, but rather make a thought reality. So throughout 2011 my goal is to view things through the camera lens more than through my own spectacles.
I'll try to release more information about this at a later date. However this does not mean I do not plan to make an occasional web edit short for things.

Holler!

WEEEEE iz BACK!!!

Sorry about not posting in forever. School is definitely keeping me super busy. Since I was gone for so long, I decided to make a killer come back post, and I've just the right car for the job.

I've been keeping up with this car build for a while now. Greg's supra is definitely a ground up build that is done in all the right ways with all the right parts! But don't think for a second that this owner is a stuck up by the awesome-ness of his whip. Greg is one of the nicest guys that I've had the opportunity to get to know, and if there is ever anything car related that you have an issue with, he's there to help you.

Alright enough with the talk, I'll let the mod list and the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Ladies is Pimps too.

Let's be honest, when was the last time you seen a dialed car and thought of it being a girls? And even if the man is riding shotgun, strangers will still generally approach the man first about the car. Well the Andreas say screw that. Along with sharing the same first name, they also share the fact that they both have amazing Volkswagens.
Andrea Toro's MKIV is proof that sometimes all a car really needs is a nice drop and wheels to look amazing. I enjoy four door love, and then add what's notably the best looking wheel of all time. You got a bag full of win!
Then there is Andrea Shell. Her Passat is prestige. shaved grill, Votex kit, Bentley wheels, and Bagyard air suspension. It really doesn't get any better than that. The only thing dirty about the car is the black smoke from the TDI engine powering this jewel on wheels.

It's Peanut Butter jelly Time!

Doing your own work to your car is always an awesome feeling. And when it comes to Luke Shell's Passat, he defintiy isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Luke's car has seen many phases lately. Which include some of the pictures posted below. And now another. He's currently undergoing a full peanut butter interior swap, a change in wheels, and more. Be on the look out for big things coming from Luke. Also be aware of a full video feature of his B4 Passat coming soon!

Danny Rice's Harly

Danny Rice is a newcomer to Louisville's Harlequin scene, but definitely a heavy contender. There really isn't much to say about a Harlequin because the pictures do all the talking. Stock or not, they are a pretty interesting car. And then throw it on the ground and add some multi-colored BBS RM's in the mix, you got quite a spectacle. I love what you've done so far with the car Danny and hope to see it progress more.

Integra Done Right!

I see Aldin cruising around the streets all the time in his Integra GSR Sedan. Daily driven and sporting a fresh paint job. To say this car is nice is an understatement. As second owner of this Teg, Aldin has taken it way past it's earlier days of the once pronounced granny mobile. I think as soon as he ejected the gospel cd out of the player serious work began. And Aldin didn't skip a beat!

Back in the Day

I don't know about you but personally, I like old cars better than the new ones. Something about the sharp cut edges and the simplicity gets me. Greg's Mk2 Golf is no exception. Every time I pull up to the VW meets, it's the first car that catches my eye. Since Greg is looking to sell the car, we decided to do a feature of it just in case the next owner ruins it all. Not to mention the fact that it deserves one! Ok, I wont bug you anymore with the talk, lets go straight to the pics.
Sooo simple, sooo clean  ...
Looks good from any angle!
This car doesn't really need an air freshner. Its too fresh on its own!
Ballin wheels, with custom center cap.
It's sniffing you!!!!
You know you're doing it right when you got scrape marks on the bumper.
And there are cuts on your stretched tires.
I'm sorry, but your custom set of stickers have no characteristic compared to Greg's!
just sayin...

Luis Toro's Cabby

Luis Toro may be one of the nicest people I know. I believe he would give someone the shirt off his back, or top off his cabby if they needed it. As if a slammed cabby on TH lines doesn't get enough attention, it received more than Luis had bargained for on his trip to Southern Worthersee 2010. During his trip to Helen, GA two of his TH Lines were stolen off the car. With the help of local dubbers, he managed to get some wheels to make an unpleasant drive back home.
Our entire scene was somewhat left with that old saying in our mouths, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" In no time support came across the local area, and entire VW community. And what happened next came the unthinkable to me. I was hanging out at the Lyndon VW house and here he comes rolling a set of wheels up the driveway. Turns out the state of Georgia must have sent out an amber alert for the TH Lines. And they were once again re-united with the cabby!
In the end I think this just shows being a nice person pays off. It's great to see what can be accomplished when people work together to help one another out. And the end result of doing this is always nothing short of amazing.

Blogspot Short

My car has just sat parked for about three weeks now, along with my new camera. I decided to go outside and mess with it. Only the third time I have since I got it. Waiting on more equipment to officially kick off some edits. On a side note I installed stage 1 mounts in the jetta today. A new axle and alignment this week and hopefully can get some photos shot this weekend before changing the look of the wheels.

Mick's 350

If you're into stance and getting your car to sit hellaflush, you know that it takes many many tries and measurements to get it right. As a great example, Mick Harris, has been working on his 350 for the last 2 years, and finally, he got the car to sit stanced the way he wanted it. i must admit, its one of the best looking 350's in Louisville. he is a member of  the dope 1's crew and here shortly, he'll have his own website.

Importance of Wheels!

A lot of people out there do not care if their wheels are reps, shiny, or fit perfect for that matter. Although as many people out there have stated, including local dubber Danny Rice, "wheels can defiantly make or break a car".

Northern KY Dubber Jimmy Liming is a perfect example of this. A few weeks ago I met up with Luke and Danny at their place. I was busy in the driveway raising the coils up to adjust for the amount of female luggage in my trunk for the Import Alliance trip. Next thing I know two slammed MKIV Jettas pull in. One being Jimmy's sitting on air and some red spray bombed steelies. I noticed the car had some nice features like a euro lid and whatnot, but still those red steelies stuck out like a sore thumb.

Now fast forward a month. I'm lurking the tex and see a familiar Jetta. It doesn't hit me till a few minutes later it's the same one, but with new wheels. The difference in the look of his MKIV is now day and night. This thing looks aggressive, low, and just plain out sick. Although I have no before pictures, the afters still do justice. Props to Jimmy and a nice taste in wheels. Looking forward to seeing more of it, and lower to the ground!

Rolling Hard

Hey guys,
My name is Arash, and as Daniel pointed out, I'll be posting on this blog as well. So, sit back and enjoy our coverage of what goes around Louisville, and don't forget to tell your friends about the blog!

This was our last weekend of summer, and decided to get a couple of cars together and go for a short drive. Must admit, I had a blast. the weather was just great enough for me to hang out the window waist up, and try to capture the awesomeness of these cars.
Tommy rolling deep with his new wheels.

Greg, and his lady joined us also.

Nothing is sicker than a TDI on bag.
Luke and Daniel riding in the DURTY DIZZEL!!
Fransisco's TT was with us too

Filli, the leader of Dope 1's crew was out repping hard!

So was mick! stay tuned for a full feature of this car.

Over all it was a good turn out. I'm still working on editing more pictures, and i'll have more for you by tomorrow!

Peace!

Thomas Posey's MKV

A long awaited look for these wheels to start pulling Tommy's MKV together. And when I say long awaited, I mean months! Tommy may have more patience than anyone I've ever met when it comes to waiting on a set of wheels. Although when I saw his car in person, the long wait def. proved to be worth it. These 18" RML Snowflakes go hand and hand on Tommy's white/black MKV. Fitment is spot on, and the 35 series look pretty darn good in my opinion.
